Why these three species

Three feeders. Three jobs.
One complete insect diet.

No single insect gives a reptile the right nutrition — every species is strong at some things and weak at others. Lite pairs three that cover for each other.

Calorie-matched modeled comparison at the Small box specification (80 small superworms, 300 BSFL, 12 hornworms at shipped weight), over a 4-week window. Large boxes trend the same direction with smaller margins. Lite feeder values: Midwest Laboratories, June 2026. Cricket values: Finke (2002). 14 markers scored; protein, phosphorus, copper, and zinc did not improve. Feed greens and supplements per your care guide.

We can show you this because we actually measure.

Every quarter, an independent lab — Midwest Laboratories, Omaha — runs a full nutrient and heavy-metal panel on all three Lite feeders. The comparison above uses those results against the most widely cited published cricket data in the field: 10 of 14 markers improved. To our knowledge, no other feeder supplier tests at all. "Unknown" = supplier publishes no third-party testing data. Cricket baselines: published feeder-insect composition research (Finke, 2002). Our full quarterly report is available on request.

The process behind the numbers

Raised for quality. Not for mass production.

Those numbers don't happen by accident. Most feeder operations optimize for yield — cheapest feed, fastest harvest — and never check what ends up in the bug. We run the loop the other way: control the feed, control the conditions, then test the output every quarter to prove it worked.

We feed all our bugs a high-quality, vitamin- and mineral-fortified grain-based diet. Published research is clear: what a feeder eats directly shapes its final nutrient profile.

Common questions

FAQs

How is Lite different from ReptiBites Premium?
Lite handles the entire insect diet with a suggested daily feeding — for $39.99. Premium is the full diet, planned for you day-by-day and delivered twice a month. Premium is the most complete thing we make. Lite is the smart-value way to get most of the way there.
How does the Feeding Guide work?
Tell us your reptile's species, name, age, and activity level (weight and a photo are optional), and your account shows a day of food, portioned — how many of each feeder makes one full day, and when in the box each feeder is at its best. Mark what you fed with one tap, print a feeding card for the enclosure, and update the details anytime — the portions update with them. Available in your account right after purchase.
Which size do I pick?
Small for bearded dragons under 6 months and leopard geckos. Large for bearded dragons 6 months and up. Hornworms ship small on purpose — they grow fast, so you can raise them to the right size for your animal in days.
Will the box last the month?
Sized to roughly a month for the animals each box is built for — often longer for leopard geckos and young juveniles.
Is Lite everything my reptile needs?
Lite covers the complete insect side of the diet. Depending on your species, your care guide covers the rest — greens for bearded dragons, supplements as your vet advises.
What happens if my bugs don't arrive alive?
Contact us and we'll make it right — a replacement, a credit, whatever fits your situation. No claim forms, no waiting period.
Who does your third-party testing?
We work with an independent lab — Midwest Laboratories — that runs a full nutrition and heavy-metal panel on our feeders every quarter. The latest panel found no detectable lead, arsenic, or mercury, and only trace cadmium — far below animal-feed safety limits. Full report available on request — reply to any order email or open a support ticket.
Can I pause, skip, or cancel?
Yes — anytime, from your account or by replying to any shipment email. No call required, no retention script.

*Nutritional data shown on this page is sourced from independent quarterly testing. Bracketed placeholders will be replaced with final data and links at launch. ReptiBites makes no medical claims; we provide premium feeders and the data behind them.

Full report available on request.
Can I pause, skip, or cancel?
Yes — anytime, from your account or by replying to any shipment email. No call required, no retention script.

“Die-off between pet retailer and the home is 81% in a year. The aquarium and reptile industry manifests nearly the same lethality as a slaughterhouse”

“Many reptiles and amphibians die prematurely; malnutrition is often a factor in this early demise.”
